With this innovative intraoral scanner, we offer patients at our orthodontic practice in Berlin a
particularly precise procedure. Unpleasant silicone impressions that have to remain in the mouth for several minutes
are now a thing of the past. They are replaced by contactless, pin-sharp 3D scans of your entire dentition.
In colour, because this makes it easy to distinguish teeth and gums -
for optimal clinical evaluation. Images that are immediately visible - to the doctor and to you
as the patient in the treatment chair. So we can discuss directly what result you can
look forward to after successful aligner therapy!
In addition, the scan data form the basis
for designing finely tuned retainers for the stabilisation phase of your treatment.
Simply open your lips - and the iTero® scanner glides gently through your mouth.
While the practitioner scans first the lower jaw and then the upper jaw, you can follow on the monitor
as the image comes together second by second - until your entire dentition appears in 3D.
We then send your data to the USA according to our specifications for further
calculations. At your next appointment, you will see on the computer model what your corrected
teeth will look like later.
And then? We order the aligners and give you your first Invisalign® set to take
home straight away. This means you do not have to keep coming back to the practice. Invisalign® is a
clear brace that you simply place over your teeth and that gradually corrects malocclusions.
Our iTero Element® represents the latest generation of intraoral scanning,
offering our aligner therapy patients a completely contactless procedure. Colour scanning
makes it easy to distinguish between teeth and gums.
Our iTero Element® captures 6,000 images per second.
When a new scan is created, the software automatically identifies start and end points,
combines images in the correct order and immediately takes position changes
into account.
Surrounding soft tissue is also detected and removed from the image. Effective 3D visualisation
makes the entire dentition tangible on the display for both doctor and patient, freely rotatable.
A special interface
seamlessly integrates this scanner into all orthodontic practice workflows and provides
connectivity with orthodontic laboratories, CAD/CAM laboratory systems and much more.
The data obtained from the iTero® scan forms the basis for the so-called ClinCheck®, the
digital treatment plan. This ClinCheck® is the pivotal element of a successful,
feasible treatment and reflects the experience and expertise of the treating doctor.
It visualizes the planned movement of every tooth right at the beginning of aligner therapy -
as a 3D simulation.
